Find Us in Trinidad
The Festival Hub is at Space to Create on Main Street. Everything else is a short trolley ride away — between the Purgatoire River and Commercial Street, with Fishers Peak watching over it all.
Getting Here
By car
Trinidad sits right on I-25 (Main Street is exit 13B). About 3 hours from Denver, 2 from Colorado Springs, 1¼ from Pueblo and 2¾ from Santa Fe. Street parking and public lots downtown; the Festival Trolley connects the stops.
By train
Amtrak’s Southwest Chief stops in Trinidad daily in both directions. The station is a short walk from Main Street and the Hub — the easiest carless festival in Colorado.
Staying over
Historic hotels and motels downtown — including festival sponsors Hilton Garden Inn Downtown and La Quinta — plus camping at Trinidad Lake State Park, about ten minutes west.
Before you come
- Altitude. Trinidad sits at about 6,000 ft — hydrate more than you think you need to.
- Layers. Late-May days run warm, mornings and evenings cool. Bring layers for early sessions and the full-moon gatherings.
- Get around. The Festival Trolley runs continuously during Hub hours between downtown, the parks and the trolley stops — with live musicians on board.
- Pack your toys. Kayaks, paddleboards, bikes and hiking shoes: Trinidad Lake, Fishers Peak and the gravel trails are all in play.
- State park pass. Trinidad Lake State Park events require a park pass.
