About Us
Your Neighbor. Your News Source.
The Millbrook Courier has been keeping Millbrook informed, connected, and engaged since 1987. We're local journalists who actually live here — and we care just as much as you do.
We recently celebrated our 37th year of independent local journalism. Thank you, Millbrook, for your continued support!

The Millbrook Courier started as a twice-weekly print paper in 1987, founded by former school teacher and amateur radio enthusiast Gerald Parkins in the back of his Harwick Avenue print shop. What began as four pages of community announcements and school sports scores has grown into Millbrook's most-read local news outlet — both in print and online.
Today, we publish daily digital stories covering city hall, local business, high school and college sports, arts and culture, and the people who make Millbrook the place we all call home. Our print edition still hits doorsteps every Thursday morning, just like it always has.
We are independently owned and operated. We don't answer to a national media conglomerate or a hedge fund. We answer to you — our readers, our neighbors, and our community.
“The Courier is the only place I trust to get the real story on what's happening at city hall. They don't just reprint press releases — they dig in and ask the tough questions. Every community deserves a paper like this.”

Millbrook Resident & PTA President · Harwick Elementary School
