What's Happening in Millbrook: Your June Community Calendar

From a downtown art walk to a free outdoor concert series, June is shaping up to be one of the busiest months Millbrook has seen in years.

MILLBROOK, June 3 — Summer is officially kicking into gear around here, and the community calendar is packed. Whether you're into live music, volunteering, farmers markets, or just getting the kids out of the house, there's something going on nearly every weekend this month. The Courier has rounded up the highlights so you don't miss a thing.

Events to Circle on Your Calendar

  • June 7 — Millbrook Farmers Market Opening Day: The beloved seasonal market returns to Founders Plaza, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 40 vendors this year, including three new food artisans.
  • June 8 — Downtown Art Walk: Self-guided tour of 18 participating galleries and studios along the Arts Quarter. Free admission, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pick up a map at the Visitor Center on Canal Street.
  • June 14 — Riverside Summer Concert Series Kickoff: Free outdoor show at Halverson Riverfront Park featuring local blues band The Copperline Duo. Bring a blanket. Gates open at 6 p.m., music starts at 7.
  • June 21 — Millbrook 5K for Schools: Annual fundraising run benefiting the Millbrook Unified School District's arts programs. Registration open at millbrook5k.org through June 15.
  • June 28 — Community Movie Night at Eastside Park: Screening of a family film (TBA) on the big inflatable screen. Free popcorn while supplies last. Dusk start, approximately 8:45 p.m.

A reminder that City Hall public meeting schedules are also picking up this month — the Planning Commission meets June 11 and the School Board holds its end-of-year session June 18. Both are open to the public and we encourage residents to attend. Full calendar details and any updates can be found at millbrookcourier.com/calendar.
