MILLBROOK, June 3 — The old Hartley Cannery building on Sycamore Industrial Drive has sat empty since 2017, but this October it will reopen as the Millbrook Food Hall, a 22,000-square-foot gathering space featuring 14 local food and beverage vendors, a central bar, and a rotating pop-up stall for emerging food entrepreneurs. Developer group Eastside Revival LLC confirmed the opening timeline Tuesday after months of speculation, saying interior buildout is now underway and vendor spaces are fully leased.
Who's Moving In
Among the confirmed vendors are several names already familiar to Millbrook diners: Marisol Gutierrez of the beloved Taco Marisol cart will open her first brick-and-mortar stall, as will Pho Binh, the family-run Vietnamese soup spot that has operated out of a food truck since 2020. New concepts include a wood-fired flatbread operation called Hearthstone, a Caribbean-inspired small plates counter called Sundowner, and a craft soft-serve shop named Spool Creamery. A full vendor list is expected to be released by mid-July.

The project has been welcomed by east side neighborhood groups, who have long advocated for more dining and gathering options in the area, which has historically been underserved compared to downtown and the Harwick corridor. Eastside Revival's lead developer, Marcus Thorn, said the food hall model was chosen specifically to lower the barrier to entry for small food businesses. "We want this to be a place where someone with a great recipe and a dream can actually make a go of it," Thorn said. A community preview event is being planned for late September.
